Can You Guess the Most Popular Summer Vacation Spot for Agents?

Sizzling temps, rising home sales and up-and-down interest rates have made this summer one for the books. Remarkably, many real estate agents have found time to unwind with a vacation – and according to unofficial findings from our recent Reader Rewards giveaway, the hottest destination for said vacation is, well, hot: Florida.

The most popular spots in the Sunshine State are Venice and St. Petersburg. Based on entries, agents plan to travel everywhere from Miami and Naples to the shores of Cape Canaveral and Don Pedro Island.

Outside of Florida, destinations include Alaska, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington, D.C. and Wisconsin. A few (lucky!) agents will jet-set to the warm waters of Bermuda, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Turks and Caicos.

Vacations aren’t the only way agents are decompressing this summer. Whether celebrating family milestones or tapping out of technology, there are no limits to what qualifies as downtime for agents. Some of our favorites:

Paddle boarding at the end of a long day with my husband is a great “staycation” on Belews Lake in North Carolina.

- Bobbie Gardner, Keller Williams Realty, Greensboro, N.C.

Made a little skydiving trip during a family reunion of over 100 at Padre Island where we gather every year. Landing video on my Facebook page, a total of seven did it - my husband, myself, two sons and their girlfriends, and a family friend. Whoop!!!

- Janette Springer, Coldwell Banker, D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®, Boerne, Texas

Planned an outdoor community concert benefiting a sweet family relocating to Uganda! Raised over $2,800 and had a blast 🙂

- Faith Browder Harper, RealtySouth, Gardendale, Ala.

Nothing better than to shut down all the electronics and take a moment to have dinner at the table, inside or out, with my family.

- Laura Baker, First Weber Group, Jefferson, Wis.

A picture was worth a thousand words – and one hundred dollars – for Kim Swagert of Coldwell Banker Holman Premier Realty in Klamath, Falls, Ore., who was randomly selected to win Reader Rewards. Congratulations, Kim!
