During the Olympics, athletes are set up in some pretty serious digs, from a revamped naval ship (yep), to an art museum and even a beach-front sports club.

But where are Olympians living in the off season? Sure, many go home to mom and dad, or a regular-old two bedroom. But some athletes are living that lux life even during the off season. Below are a few cherry homes of our country's most gifted athletes.

A Butler For Butler?

Butler

When first-time Olympian Jimmy Butler isn't winning on the basketball court, he's chillin' in his six bedroom Chicago home, snapped up for $4.3 million in 2015. With a movie theater and a home gym (duh), this spot screams of that high life.

Beach-front Basketball

Taurasi

Basketball all-star Diana Taurasi was voted one of the WNBA's Top 15 Players of All Time in 2011, and the 34-year-old certainly lives like it. Her home in Manhattan Beach, Calif.  features 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and doors that open right onto the beach. Well done, Taurasi! Well done...

Silver Medal Spot

Keflezighi

Speed demon Mebrahtom "Meb" Keflezighi bought his stylish San Diego home for $1,377,500 in 2013. The Eritrean-born American long distance runner snagged a silver medal in 2004 Olympics and placed fourth in the 2012 Summer Olympics. His family-friendly four bedroom home has outdoor seating areas, epic views, and plenty of room for entertaining.

That Butler home in Chicago is wild! I love how he did his front lawn. A little claustrophobic for me, but just look at the history …

Wow, 3 homes really? Of which 2 of them are NBA and WNBA, meaning their money didn’t come from the Olympics. My guess is that for 90% of them, their homes are not worth writing about, which I don’t say as a diss on them at all. But with the exception of Michael Phelps, they’re not making a boat load of money off of the Olympics. I think I read the USA pays $25k per gold medal, 15k for silver and 10k for bronze…. meaning 90% of our Olympians got paid jack squat. They represented well however, Lochte and company excluded.
