If you were considering selling your home this month, the most recent ATTOM Data Solutions analysis may in fact sway your decision to finally pull the trigger. According to the property data solutions company, the top five days of the year to sell your home all fall in the month of May.
The new analysis, which considers 40.1 million single home and condominium sales over the course of 2011 - 2020, found that the biggest premiums on sale price are found in late spring/early summer. The best months to sell your home are May and June, with five of the best days to sell your home landing in May.
“As home sellers continue to enjoy an extended seller's market, moving full steam ahead from the momentum gained over the last 10 years, the month of May is particularly poised to garner the greatest sale premiums,” said Todd Teta, chief product officer with ATTOM Data Solutions.
According to the analysis, the months where the biggest home seller premiums are to be had are in: May (13.4%), June (11.7%), July (11.2%), April (9.2%) and August (8.9%).
