If your neighbor wrapped up his house and trees in aluminum foil, you’d probably think one flew over the cuckoo's nest, but that’s exactly what one Florida man did recently, lighting up his street and befuddling his neighbors.

Piotr Janowski of Tarpon Springs, Fla. dangled foil off his trees and draped his home in aluminum, including the utility box and meters, like some sort of early Christmas decoration extravaganza. When asked about his reason for doing so, Janowski said it was an outdoor art project inspired by the beauty of his very own Sunshine State.

Janowski graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Born in Poland, he created contemporary sculptures, prints, photography and paintings, and exhibited his work at the Polish Museum of America in Chicago, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The entire project required heaps of heavy duty Reynolds Wrap (12 large rolls to be exact), chicken wire and adhesive spray in order to turn the home into a shiny beacon of….whatever it is that he calls it. Unsurprisingly, his neighbors aren’t that impressed, calling it “odd” and “the strangest thing I’ve ever seen.”

We absolutely agree!

Alas, praise be to the Internet for serving up these real estate oddities on...uhh...silver platters. To Mr. Janowski, we salute you for daring to be different! (And as a bonus: it does remind us of this Weird-Al Yankovic song!)
