Homeowners have an attractive range of natural building materials they can choose from to enhance their houses. Stamped concrete not only adds creative designs and aesthetic appeal to a home, but it can also increase a home's value because of its durability and curb appeal. You may want to install stamped concrete to update your home in one or more of these exciting ways:

Flooring

Most people love the look of natural materials like brick, slate and stone. However, covering your indoor floors with these products can be costly and time consuming. Some may not stand up well to long-term use. Stamped concrete, on the other hand, is solid and stable. It can be etched and stamped in a variety of designs that look beautiful on any floor in a home. A polyurethane seamless slate design is one of many that adds a classy dimension to rooms that are used to entertain guests.

Entrances

Stamped concrete makes a unique and appealing addition to your foyer floor or walls. Vertical stack stone comes in many styles and colors that greet guests with elegance. Equally important is the fact that concrete will endure over time as countless pairs of shoes tread over them. Cheaper than wood or other popular floor materials, stamped concrete can be purchased with a design already in place or you can select one to be imprinted.

Patios

Outdoor patios are perfect for adding stamped concrete designs in a choice of colors, a natural stain or plain concrete. You can choose from numerous shapes and sizes to get the right design for your home's outdoor areas. Decorative accents are typically available in sets of eight or more pieces. Vertical stone decorated concrete creates a cozy wall finish for a patio or an enclosed all-season room to expand usable living space either indoors or outside.

Sidewalks and Driveways

Enhance the curb appeal of your home by installing a stamped concrete driveway on your property in a design that meshes with your landscape. Hire concrete contractors to lay a stamped concrete walkway or sidewalk pavement to dress up your home's exterior. A glance at these areas will show visitors that you care about your home's appearance and value.

Don't underestimate the value that stamped concrete can add to your home. Think about these and other ways you could add style and durability to some of the most frequently-used areas of your house!

Stamped concrete is generally more durable and requires less maintenance than most other paving materials, which can add up to big savings over time.

Like conventional concrete, stamped surfaces will last for decades when properly installed and maintained, even when exposed to harsh winter weather conditions. In some cases, stamped concrete can be even more durable than standard concrete, especially if a color hardener was used when it was poured.

Thank you. It’s great to help since we’re looking to boost our curb appeal and also improve our beautiful patio with stamped concrete cape cod. It really is cheaper and beautiful than another type since we have tried a contractor near cape cod town for 6 months ago. We are currently looking for lots of color options for our patio and considering adding a brick trim pattern for it, I appreciate your post. Keep posting!

We’ve been in the concrete construction business for a long long time in Nashville, and in the past year I have recently seen people from other areas of the country moving to Nashville. Homeowners looking to sell their houses have been looking for ways to improve the designs of their homes in more universal ways, and I’ve been using this article to explain the “art of the possible” to homeowners so many times. The most common choices they make are stamped concrete patios for entertaining, and very brick-like patterns for their driveways.

It makes houses pop, and our team is so proud that we’ve been able to add so much extra property value to homeowners with simple ideas like the ones you’ve described here. Super helpful content, Brooke – hope to see more of it!

Some very common ideas that I talk about in addition to these are concrete countetops stained with epoxy to make them look like marble, polished indoor concrete floors, and stamped concrete designs for fireplaces and barbeques!

Would love to show pictures to you of the results of your blog someday! Thank you

I just read somewhere that the average stamped concrete patio can increase a home’s value by $16k. Now I gotta remember where I saw that, but I thought it was an interesting figure… Because $16k is way more than the cost of the average stamped concrete pad, at least here in Harrisonburg. Meaning you make out net positive on the cost…!
