You don't have to watch "Game of Thrones" to know that the HBO series aired its fifth season premiere last night. Just sign on to Facebook or Twitter for 15 seconds and you'll be pelted with a smattering of images full of dragons, Khaleesis, Iron Thrones and more! If you're in the biz and love the show, you're in luck because Homes.com just won real estate: welcome to Game of Homes!
Homes.com, a brand advertising, lead generation, and marketing solutions company, has created a brilliant real estate-related parody of the insanely popular series. Game of Homes just hit the web, helping "Thrones" fans find homes for sale and rent in Westeros and Essos. Simply click here to be brought to a map of the two continents and see what properties are available for the taking! You'll find landscape ready to be developed near The Dothraki Sea for $200,000, palaces in Qarth starting at $500,000, and even homes in Craster's Keep (starting at $120,000) that provide plenty of space for all your daughter-wives. As Game of Homes puts it, it's "perfect for the incestuous wildling on-the-go"!
The site is a blast to poke around on. Users can click and drag their way around the map and take a look at homes that might be available in all parts of Westeros and beyond. Homes.com even loaded each listing with mock ads that also tie into the "Game of Thrones" universe. Stark Life Insurance, for example, offers "rates that will make your head roll"! Or how about the clothing company White Walker Outfitters, because "Winter is Coming". Every detail from the listing info down to the map display is crazy creative.
This entire idea is genius, well thought out, and the perfect thing to stumble upon on a Monday. Well done, Homes.com!
Great article Nick… Thanks from the Homes.com search team!
Lots of GoT fans here, and glad you enjoyed it…
Shout out to Erin & David the ‘crazy creative’ folks behind it, and (our) Nick and his design team for brining it to life!
We like to say we’re “everything homes” so I’m guessing that includes dragon caves and ice castles 🙂
Cheers
Anytime, Grant! Like I said, we love the creativity and are always interested in adding a little fun to real estate!
