Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS®—a Tri-State Delaware-New Jersey-Pennsylvania brokerage—recently began automating its rental listings to post to Facebook Marketplace, in partnership with HomeSnap. The move, which at first glance looks like an unusual tactic, has paid off for the company.
According to the company, Marketplace has become an overwhelming lead source for its agents. Since turning on the automated listings on December 9, 2019, the brokerage has received more than 7,000 leads with more than 700 active listings.
In today's ever-changing real estate market, being able to tap into Facebook’s massive community of users is a major advantage. Marketplace has been a major success for the social media giant since it was relaunched in 2016, with one third of users visiting Marketplace every month, according to Facebook.
Neither Homesnap nor Facebook charge any fees to use this service, and all leads are emailed directly to the agent who listed the rental.
"We are excited to offer a qualified rental lead source for our agents that leverages the might of Facebook and their growing Marketplace platform," Larry Flick V, CEO of Fox & Roach, REALTORS® and The Trident Group, tells Housecall.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS® currently distributes all rental inquiries through its automated lead management platform, which adds the potential client to the coinciding agent’s CRM.
“Rental housing to consumers is a key element in offering a full-service real estate service in today’s competitive landscape,” says Joan Docktor, president of Fox & Roach, REALTORS®.
“The initial results have been remarkable,” adds Rajeev Sajja, VP of Digital Innovation at the brokerage. “This initiative contributes the highest lead volume of any rental marketing program we have deployed.”
