Housecall, the official blog of RISMedia, recently won the coveted Gold Award for Best Real Estate Blog from the National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) at the association’s 53rd Annual Real Estate Journalism Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas, this June.
The annual event recognizes excellence in reporting, writing and editing stories about residential and commercial real estate.
According to NAREE’s judges, “Housecall is visually attractive and carries informative content that its audience wants and needs. How much should sellers spend to prepare a house for sale? How can they combat cyber-crime? This is reader service at its best.”
The blog, which blends agent- and broker-focused insights that help real estate professionals build and expand their business with consumer-targeted information that today’s renters, buyers and sellers can use to make educated decisions regarding home-buying and home improvement, was not RISMedia’s only win at the event.
RISMedia’s News was recognized by NAREE with the Bronze Award for the Best Newsletter.
“RISMedia News gives its real estate readers everything from breaking news to tips on how to convert leads to clients. The quick service pieces are well suited to agents without the time to read long reports. They also remind agents that ‘enthusiasm wins every time,’” according to the association.
Emailed to an audience of over 400,000 industry professionals around the U.S. seven days a week, RISMedia’s News’ targeted newsletters—Team Tuesday, Weekly Business Builder and Sunday Showcase—allow the company to segment content based on reader interest and actionable insights.
“The RISMedia team is incredibly proud and honored to be recognized by NAREE for our continued efforts. We strive to be an influential and supportive voice in the real estate community,” says RISMedia Executive Editor Maria Patterson. “Our Housecall blog and RISMedia’s News are creative and valuable resources that provide industry professionals with information that helps them build their real estate business and maintain a competitive edge, and through which past, present and future renters, buyers and sellers can find the resources they need to help with one of the biggest transactions of their lives. We look forward to continuing to assist all individuals across the real estate space in achieving their goals.”
